The April 9 National Assembly Elections

There are five candidates running for the Korean National Assembly in my hometown. They are in the Grand National Party, the Liberal United Democratic Party and other parties currently out of power. There are several differences between the Grand National Party and the Liberal United Democratic Party. For example, their policies about education, the economy and welfare. In my hometown, the candidate who was winning the 17th election is returning to the Assembly. Actually, I didn’t vote for my hometown candidates because I didn’t have time to go to vote in my hometown. I think I am a socially conscious person because I’d like to be a leader of many groups. Nowdays, everyone is concerned about the economy of Korea.

In my case, I am not really interested in political issues. Even though I didn’t vote for our candidate, I think having a day off on election day is helpful to vote for more people. An election is an important right to explain our opinions to society.
