“The public protest about Korea’s trade policy on the importation of U.S beef”

A few months ago, Korean President Lee said the relationship between Korea and the U.S.A  was going to be more intimate.  One of those results in the two nation’s relationship is the importation of U.S beef.  However, it is a pretty big problem. One of the results of this issue are demonstrations parade in Korea. The problem is that the Korean public is not happy with the agreement. There are two main reasons. First, this agreement will effect the domestic meat market. American beef is cheaper than Korean beef. Lots of Korean beef are not going to be sold by customer rather than before.  Second, only Korea accepted beef that is from cattle that is thirty months old. The problem is that older cows have a greater possibility of health risks to consumers and it could cause disease called BSE.   BSE( Bovine spongiform encephalopathy) is not common disease in Korea. If a person eats beef infected with BSE, the person will be infected with CJD(Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease) which is 100% lethal. So workers who work at meat market and consumers  come to street to prevent the U.S beef and the public is worried about mad cow’s deadly effect. Most of all, the reason why people are angry is the Government’s inappropriate act behavior. Every week, lots of people attend street demonstration. Each major city has also seen its citizens demonstrate.  If our government properly  negotiated with the U.S.A, we wouldn’t have to protest like these days. Lots of Korean are assuming that our government isn’t properly representing the population. Also  the population doesn’t want president’s policy.  The government’s point of view about these public protest is that they are illegal so they are putting down lors of people by compulsion. In the protest, there are many casualties. In my opinoin, mainly this issue is not only the president’s fault but also our fault. Firstly, the President should make sure we will not import old beef and first of all make an apology to every Korean public in a few days. I really hope that everything will be go amicably and the Korean government and the public do the peaceful settlement  of this issue.

Write a brief review of a movie I recently saw.

I recently saw the movie “Beastie Boys”. It stars Yoon Kye-sang and Ha Jung-woo. The film is set in Seoul and is a dramatic thriller. It is about two young con men who work in a bar and plan to steal money from rich customers. However, after a tragic romance, their relationship falls a part. Netizens have said this movie is worse than expected and I agree. I cannot recommend this film to anyone.

Who is the most influential or important Korean figure in history ?

I would like to say that the General Lee Sun Shin  is the most important Korean figure in history.  He is one of the best korean’s heroes. He was  born in Kun-chun dong, Seoul and he lived  from 1545 to 1598.  I think he is also  my hero.  There are some reasons as follows. He was a brave admiral and  had many war victories like a naval battle of Han-san and Myung-ryang. Also he invented “Tutle warship” to fight with an enemy. It was a warship of the newest type at that time. Last he devoted himselves to our country.  Unfortunately, He was died for our country at his warship in a battle. Eventhought he was gone, he is our immortal hero forever.

Describe a vacation I took.

I went to the Kangchon with my friends.  We swam and played a game with a ball in the river. We took a ride on a motor scooter. We baked BBQ and drunk beers and talked eachother. I had loved one of my friends who is my girl friend these days.  :)  I told her how deeply I loved her. I  got my girl friend in there. That’s why that vacation was the best one for me. I was 21 years old at that time. I spent more 200,000won. After I came back home, I ate ramyeon for two weeks because I was out oh cash. But, that vacation was my best vacation.

“How to make the perfect single serving of ramyeon”

Ramyeon is my favorite instant food. Here is how to make my terrific ramyeon. You will need utensils like a pot, bowl, spoon, chopsticks and some ingredients like a package of ramyeon, three cups of water,  two eggs,  small pieces of leek and seaweed. First, divide the dry ramyeon into exact halves. Second, pour three cups of water into pot and let the water boil. After 2 minutes, add the soup mix and dried vegetables and small pieces of leek into the water. After boiling, put the ramyeon in the water. And then, cover with a lid. Approximately one and half minutes later, put some seaweed and two eggs in the pot. Stir it with your chopsticks. Finally, pour the ramyeon in the pot into fresh bowl. In short, you can eat the ramyeon with Kim-chi. In this case, you can eat it with seaweed again, if you want to eat my terrific ramyeon.  Have a awesome time to eat my ramyeon.

The April 9 National Assembly Elections

There are five candidates running for the Korean National Assembly in my hometown. They are in the Grand National Party, the Liberal United Democratic Party and other parties currently out of power. There are several differences between the Grand National Party and the Liberal United Democratic Party. For example, their policies about education, the economy and welfare. In my hometown, the candidate who was winning the 17th election is returning to the Assembly. Actually, I didn’t vote for my hometown candidates because I didn’t have time to go to vote in my hometown. I think I am a socially conscious person because I’d like to be a leader of many groups. Nowdays, everyone is concerned about the economy of Korea.

In my case, I am not really interested in political issues. Even though I didn’t vote for our candidate, I think having a day off on election day is helpful to vote for more people. An election is an important right to explain our opinions to society.

My perfect will be in eight years. I will be 32. I’ll be with my wife, my son, daughter and our dog. My son and I will be playing baseball and my wife and daughter will be cooking a special barbecue for dinner in my car.  After playing baseball, we are going to eat dinner and talk about our family’s dreams and walk through a forest to see stars and to digest the delicious barbecue.  When it is 11:20, we will go to bed with my son & daughter. We will have sweet dreams.
